Young Marriage

Like new and sparkling ships leaving port,
A young marriage led by new Captains,
Meets ocean storms that roil to thwart
Their new love began in passion.

Wind and storm crash the ship,
As it lists and loses its steerage,
Commitment of love may seem to slip,
But the Captains imparts their courage.

As sea days roll by our Captains learn,
To steer the ship more ably,
As oceans blow from bow to stern,
They learn to struggle bravely.

Fair winds and clear skies soon appear,
Love endures beyond the horizon,
As the voyage continues, the ship’s crew cheers,
Blue waters and the sun to brighten.
