Music Box Ballet

A dress of pink and petticoats,
On a girl with powdered skin,
She’s crowned with hair of gold,
Spins round and round again.

Twinkling sounds of music,
Inscriptions, ribbons, and pearls,
Inscribed with words of memories,
That remind me of my girls.

So, who’s this little girl spinning?
This precious part of my life,
Mirror images from over the years,
My granddaughters, daughters, and wife.
