Here I Am

I live on in heaven,
The father you once knew,
Enjoying eternal in paradise,
With others have earned their due.

I tried to leave something of me,
Through my words in your ears,
Reflections in verse while there,
Picture stories of our years.

My memories stop at the gate,
The entrance to where I’ve come,
Now, I can only look forward,
Old pathways gone and done.

One day you will join me,
But for now, fulfill your dreams,
Stay close to the living Savior,
Your life he has redeemed.
