A Good Day

Think about your yesterday,
Did you rest with family or friends?
Let’s try to make another,
An unction of kindness to them.

Of course, not all days are perfect,
But every day is a gift,
Not even the hard ones can be wasted,
Find others your gifts uplift.

If you’ve regrets from any yesterdays,
Bag them and cinch it tight,
Give them to the savior,
From darkness He brings the light.

We feel shame in our mistakes,
But there’s no bottom to His cup,
Over seventy-seven times He forgives,
God’s mercy for each of us.
