The U.S. Flag

On the far side of a tree,
A flag waves unfurled,
Flowing easily in the breeze,
Stripes pop in rolling curl.

A vision with an orientation,
Of a country that feels of home,
Ripe for evolving discovery,
With the flag above the dome.

The stars and stripes wave proudly,
Surrounded by oaken leaves,
With winged birds and butterflies,
Salutes across the seas.
