I look into the mirror and see an old man,
Standing and staring in his Florida tan,
I pause to remember how he looked back then,
Face full of youth, a body strong and thin.
I don’t mind how he’s changed through the years,
He has lived a good life, experienced some tears,
The mirror makes clear how time is so dear,
What’s important now is where to go from here.
I told the mirror man to be at peace,
His regrets and complaints all must cease,
As the days of his life each day decrease,
Give thanks and remember life is on lease.
