Bare Emotions

Feelings given to guide our way,
To lead intended paths each day,
They dream in sleep to speak awake,
Push idle minds a course to take.

Make careful use in passing seasons,
Of things like hate for painful reasons,
Worry and fear will steal your peace,
As disappointing days increase.

A rawness marks the damage done,
Prevarication of truth begun,
To calm yourself take time in prayer,
Not hard to do, not hard to care.

Listen before you choose your way,
Speak fewer words to help you stay,
On joyful paths, life consecrate.
The Spirit’s will to anticipate.
