My face is burned in sun from scorching heat,
In agony of nails in hands and feet,
O’er time, I bought myself this tree of pain,
My coin of thievery and sins that stain.
Too late I fear to save my soul that’s lost,
Like fading stars in skies with sparkle tossed,
Into the darkened depths of Hell below,
Confessing debts of sin I know I owe.
I pray the Son of Man, “Remember me,”
And ask forgiveness in His kingdom free,
I feel His mercy flow from Paradise,
Like water cleansed by love and sacrifice.
The heavens open as He takes my hand,
The gift by blood redemption of the Lamb.
